Top Ten - Animation (#9)
It's fun and it's magic! It's no surprise that, 60 years later, this is still one of the top Disney movies. It's a magical, romantic story (and to all you feminists out there who think it's about a woman waiting for her man to save the day, shut up already. It's about a woman who was kind despite adversity. Don't you want your daughters to be like that? And by the way, it was the fairy godmother who saved the day. Idiots.)
One of the things I like in this version of the story are the little hints of foreshadowing - Cinderella's frustration when the clock "orders me around" and her losing her shoes throughout the day.
Which begs the question - if her glass slipper was a perfect fit, how did it fall off at the palace?
