Searching for Bobby Fischer

Cheers (#96)

Far too often while watching these movies, I feel like I'm wasting my time. Movies like Intolerance or All That Jazz have no appeal to me whatsoever. But every once in a while I come across a gem, one that I wish I had known about years earlier. Searching for Bobby Fischer is one of those movies.

Based on a true story, it's about a seven-year-old chess prodigy. While a movie about chess doesn't sound all that wonderful, this one is, because it's a story about a boy with a good heart and a good family.

So yes, see this movie. And if your mom can stay awake, she should see it, too.
