Quotes - "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" (#98); Songs - (I've Had) The Time of My Life (#86); Passions (#93)
It was pretty smart of the director to end this movie with the big dance scene. It made the audience forget how it wasn't really that great of a movie. Truth be told, I didn't have the time of my life.
It's about sex, an illegal abortion, and a thirty-year-old dance instructor creeping on a teenage girl. Baby's dad was right to try to keep her away from him. And while the dance lessons and final scene were fun to watch, the dance scene when Baby carried the watermelon was downright uncomfortable.
And yet, I have to thank Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey for inspiring this:

stupid movie
oh, but i did have a dream once about one of my male professors dancing this dance with patrick swayze (who was doing jennifer grey's part). that made me laugh.
oh, and "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" truly is one of the dorkiest lines ever. plus also you're right that he's a total creeper.
patrick swayze fought to keep that line out of the movie. sadly, he lost.
he had to have felt like a big dork saying it. poor guy.
