I don't get Woody Allen. I don't find him funny. His movies are full of neurotic people who can barely function in a normal world.
And then there's Bananas, one of his first movies. It's different from his others. It's a satirical farce about a dictator of a small Central American country, with some moments reminiscent of Monty Python or Benny Hill.
Not your typical Woody Allen.
But I still don't get it.

in case you care, but i know you don't, sylvester stallone's role - one of his earliest - is small and uncredited.
