On one hand, there's Maria's accent (both Natalie Wood and Marni Nixon), Tony's wussiness, and songs like "Who Knows" and "One Hand, One Heart". Plus also the fact that they 'fell in love' just like that.
On the other hand, there's Rita Moreno, wonderful dancing, and songs like "America", "I Feel Pretty", and "Officer Krupke".
In this case, the positives win out. Enjoy the great moments and laugh at the rest.

i wanted so badly to include a clip of the muppets singing "america". sadly, they haven't made it yet.
i've always loved anita's dress in 'america.'
and when i have my all musical channel, the muppets will sing it.
i've almost convinced myself that they actually have
cuz it just would be so perfect
why don't people use our ideas? they don't have to pay us - we just want to enjoy them.
that's what i don't get
